Associate Director, Sales

Role Overview

We're hiring an Associate Director of Sales for a fast-growing B2B SaaS company building software for the K12 and higher-education space. This is a hands-on, player-coach role: you'll personally carry a sales number while leading an existing team of 7 salespeople who handle both current business and account growth. You'll report to the Director of Sales and work closely with them to scale a team that's already delivering results.

Location: Bangalore

- 5-day work week (in-office)

Responsibilities

- Personally source, pitch, and close new business within the K12-to-university segment, using your own network of school, college, and university relationships
- Carry an individual sales target that ramps from month one, alongside accountability for the wider team's number
- Coach and manage a team of 7 salespeople handling both hunting (new logos) and farming (account growth and renewals)
- Partner with the Director of Sales on territory planning, pipeline reviews, and go-to-market execution




- Represent the company in meetings with school administrators, university procurement teams, and other education-sector decision-makers
- Ramp onto product and process in the first two weeks, then build toward a full individual and team quota over the following months

Requirements

- 6+ years of B2B sales experience (4+ years considered for exceptional profiles)
- Experience selling into K12 schools, colleges, or universities — ideally at an edtech SaaS company (campus ERP, admissions/enrollment CRM, or student-lifecycle software)
- A track record of personally carrying and hitting a sales quota — this is not a pure people-management role
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a small sales team, alongside carrying your own number
- Comfortable in both new-business hunting and account farming/growth motions
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore; able to work a 5-day in-office week
- No specific educational qualification required
