Job Summary: The Head of Spare Parts will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and overall profitability of the spare parts division across all dealer locations. This leadership role involves optimizing inventory management, driving parts sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing the parts team to support the service and equipment sales operations for the entire JCB construction equipment range (Backhoe Loaders, Excavators, Compactors, Telehandlers, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the spare parts business strategy to achieve sales, profitability, and growth targets.
- Manage the complete spare parts operations across multiple locations, including Hyderabad central warehouse and branch/site locations.
- Monitor Inventory Turnover Ratio (ITR), stock availability, ageing, obsolescence, stock accuracy, and parts sales growth.
- Manage demand forecasting, parts ordering, receiving, storage, stock allocation, and inter-branch transfers.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels and high First-Time Pick Rate (FTPR) for fast-moving parts.
- Drive counter sales and field sales of genuine JCB spare parts.
- Develop relationships with fleet owners, contractors, infrastructure companies, and key customers.
- Work closely with Service and Sales teams to ensure timely availability of parts and maximum equipment uptime.
- Manage parts pricing, discounts, gross margins, budgeting, and cost control.
- Handle parts-related warranty claims and coordination with JCB/OEM.
- Lead and develop Parts Managers, Parts Executives, Storekeepers, and other spare parts personnel.




- Set sales and operational targets and conduct regular team performance reviews.
- Ensure accurate transactions, stock-taking, reporting, and data management through DMS/ERP systems.
- Implement perpetual inventory counting and periodic physical stock audits.
- Ensure compliance with JCB SOPs, operational standards, safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve parts sales, inventory efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.

Required Qualifications & Skills: Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/Industrial) or a related field.
- A post-graduate qualification (e.g., MBA in Supply Chain/Operations) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 20+ years of progressive experience in Spare Parts Management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role (Head) for a multi-location dealership or OEM.
- Mandatory experience in the Construction Equipment, Earthmoving Machinery, Heavy Commercial Vehicles, or Automobile industry, with a preference for experience with premium/global brands like JCB.
- Demonstrated experience in managing an annual parts turnover of a

significant scale.

Skills:

- Technical Acumen: Positive understanding of construction equipment components and parts identification.
- Systems Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Inventory Management Systems and ERP/DMS.
- Financial & Analytical: Strong budgeting, cost control, and business planning skills.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent team leadership, mentoring, and persuasive communication skills (English and Telugu/Hindi preferred).
- Process Orientation: Ability to implement and monitor processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
