Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead the AI strategy and implementation for our organization.

The role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and scaling AI-driven solutions that enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, and drive business growth.

The incumbent will work closely with business, technology, operations, risk, and data teams to embed AI across the value chain.

AI Strategy & Leadership

- Define and execute the enterprise AI strategy aligned with the organizations business objectives.
- Develop a multi-year AI roadmap and prioritize high-impact use cases.
- Establish AI governance, responsible AI practices, model risk management, and ethical AI frameworks.
- Drive AI adoption across business functions and promote an innovation-led culture.

AI Solution Delivery

- Build and deploy Generative AI, Predictive AI, Conversational AI, and Agentic AI solutions.
- Implement AI-powered assistants for customers, employees, and business users.
- Drive intelligent document processing and workflow automation.
- Develop predictive models for credit risk, customer behaviour, collections, fraud detection, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Establish reusable AI services and enterprise AI platforms.

Technology & Architecture

- Define enterprise AI architecture and technology standards.
- Evaluate and implement AI platforms, LLMs, and cloud AI services.
- Partner with enterprise architecture and engineering teams to integrate AI with core lending platforms, CRM, LOS, LMS, digital channels, and data platforms.




- Establish MLOps and LLMOps capabilities for scalable AI deployment.

Data & Governance

- Partner with data engineering teams to improve data quality and AI readiness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, security, and model governance requirements.
- Define AI performance metrics and continuously monitor model effectiveness.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing AI and Data Science team.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders to identify opportunities and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Manage external technology partners, AI vendors, and consulting firms.
- Present AI strategy, investment proposals, and business outcomes to executive leadership.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology.
- Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, is preferred.

Experience

- 12–18 years of experience in Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Digital Transformation.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in AI or Data Science.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions in Banking, NBFC, Financial Services, or FinTech.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and enterprise transformation initiatives.
