Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced GitLab Administrator / GitLab Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in administering enterprise GitLab environments.

The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in GitLab administration, SSO/Identity integration, user onboarding/offboarding, groups, projects, repositories, permissions, and access controls .

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain GitLab groups, projects, repositories, and platform settings .
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding , including access provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Configure and manage roles, permissions, RBAC, protected branches, and access controls .
- Configure and maintain SSO / Identity Provider integrations with GitLab.
- Manage GitLab groups, subgroups, project structures, and repository governance.
- Support development teams with GitLab access, repository creation, permissions, and platform-related issues.
- Configure and maintain integrations with tools such as SonarQube, CodeRabbit , and other DevSecOps tools.
- Monitor and troubleshoot GitLab platform issues, authentication issues, access problems, and integrations.




- Ensure GitLab platform security, availability, and operational best practices.
- Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for GitLab administration.

Mandatory Skills
- 6+ years of overall IT experience
- Strong hands-on experience in GitLab Administration
- Experience managing GitLab Groups, Projects, and Repositories
- Solid experience in User Onboarding / Offboarding
- Hands-on experience with Permissions, RBAC, and Access Controls
- Experience with SSO / SAML / OAuth / Identity Providers
- Good understanding of Git and GitLab workflows
- Experience working with enterprise GitLab environments

Good to Have
- GitLab Self-Managed / Enterprise Edition experience
- GitLab CI/CD
- GitLab Runner administration
- SonarQube integration
- CodeRabbit integration
- Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
- DevSecOps tools and practices
- GitLab upgrades, migration, backup, and disaster recovery
