General Manager – Accounts & Finance

? Role Overview The GM – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for managing the organization's overall finance and accounting function, including financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, internal controls, process governance, and strategic finance initiatives.

The role will lead the finance team and work closely with senior management on financial planning, business performance, due diligence, valuation, M&A;, fundraising, and business expansion initiatives.

? Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books.
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure General Ledger integrity and proper accounting controls.

Taxation

- Manage Direct Tax, Income Tax, TDS, Advance Tax, Tax Assessments and Tax Audits.
- Oversee GST compliance, reconciliations, audits, assessments and notices.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Identify tax optimization opportunities while ensuring compliance.

Audit & Compliance

- Lead Statutory, Internal, IFC and other regulatory audits.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants and management stakeholders.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Strengthen governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

- Develop and implement finance SOPs and internal controls.
- Drive process automation and finance transformation initiatives.




- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor and develop the Accounts & Finance team.
- Define KRAs and monitor team performance.
- Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Business Finance & Strategic Support

- Support budgeting, forecasting and annual operating plans.
- Monitor working capital, cash flow and liquidity.
- Provide financial insights to senior management for decision-making.

Due Diligence, Valuation & M&A;

- Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments and strategic transactions.
- Support business valuation, fundraising and financial modelling.
- Work with bankers, investors, consultants and external advisors.
- Support M&A;, restructuring and business expansion initiatives.

? Ideal Candidate Profile
- CA is mandatory.
- 7–8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, taxation and compliance.
- Strong exposure to Statutory, Internal and IFC audits.
- Experience managing finance teams.
- Exposure to due diligence, valuation, fundraising or M&A; will be an advantage.
- Experience in implementing SOPs, internal controls and automation.
- Robust ERP exposure – Oracle / SAP / Dynamics / NetSuite or similar.
- Good knowledge of Advanced Excel and Power BI .
- Excellent analytical, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

⭐ What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who have handled end-to-end finance and accounting , led teams independently, managed multiple audits and have strong exposure to taxation, controls, ERP and strategic finance initiatives .

Important: Candidates should preferably be located near Thanisandra / Bhartiya City, Bangalore , as this is a 6-day, work-from-office role .
