We are looking for an experienced Real Asset Fund Accountant to join our Fund Accouting team in Mumbai. The role will be responsible for fund accounting and financial reporting activities for Real Estate / Real Asset Funds, with a strong focus on NAV calculation, financial statement preparation, property accounting, and SPV accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Real Asset / Real Estate Fund Accounting

- Perform end-to-end accounting activities for Real Estate / Real Asset Funds.
- Prepare and review Fund NAV calculations accurately and within defined SLAs.
- Account for property-related transactions, including:
- Property rental and other income recognition
- Lease accounting
- Property operating expenses
- Capital expenditure
- Accruals and prepayments
- Other property-level accounting transactions
- Review investment and asset valuations and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
- Monitor and validate income, expenses, accruals, and other fund-level transactions.

Financial Reporting

- Prepare and review financial statements for Real Estate / Real Asset Funds.
- Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial reporting packs.
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment and accurate presentation of fund transactions.
- Assist with audit requirements and provide supporting information and documentation to auditors and stakeholders.
- Ensure reporting is completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

SPV Accounting & Consolidation

- Perform accounting for multiple Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) held within fund structures.




- Prepare and review SPV financial information and reconciliations.
- Account for inter-company transactions and perform appropriate eliminations during consolidation.
- Support consolidation of multiple SPVs into fund-level financial reporting.
- Identify and resolve inter-company and reconciliation differences.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified CA / ACCA with minimum 2.6+ years of relevant experience in Real Asset / Real Estate Fund Accounting.
- Semi-qualified CA / ACCA or Qualified CMA or MBA or Graduate with minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Real Asset / Real Estate Fund Accounting.
- Hands-on experience in Fund Accounting and NAV calculation is mandatory.
- Robust experience in Real Estate / Real Asset accounting, including property income, lease accounting, property expenses, and capital expenditure.
- Experience in SPV accounting and consolidation is highly desirable.
- Experience with inter-company transactions and eliminations.
- Previous exposure to Middle Office, Investment Operations, Asset Administration, or Trade Administration will be an advantage.
- Yardi experience will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working in Real Estate Funds, Alternative Investment Funds, Fund Administration, Big 4, accounting firms, or financial services organizations with direct Real Asset / Real Estate Fund Accounting experience will be preferred.
