Position Purpose

The FICO Consultant in the SAP Center of Excellence shall be responsible for supporting Finance and Controlling (FICO) projects and will lead the analysis, design, documentation, configuration, testing & support of the SAP FICO areas to meet the business needs of PI . The role holder shall work closely with internal customers to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality, the role holder shall add value to the SAP CoE through their knowledge of the FICO module and knowledge of its integration with other modules.

Strategic Responsibilities

- Based on business/financial requirements, plan and architect based on SAP using the FICO module under the guidance of the Head Functional Delivery & Projects
- Identify and recommend enhancements to FICO and other related modules based on thorough understanding of the business needs and process related changes.
- Define and actively champion continuous improvements in methods, processes, and technologies that produce high performance integration solutions.

Operational Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Design

- Gather requirements on expected process, understand current process and document.
- Analyse and document gaps between as-is and expected process.
- Prepare business process blue prints and build documents on Functional design and specifications.




- Develop project plan for implementation by duly prioritizing the change requests received.

Implementation

- Analyze, design, construct, test, and implement financial processes, controls and application enhancements ensuring close coordination and integration with other SAP modules.
- Lead multiple project activities related to business transformation, automation and digitalization for the finance vertical specifically, and coordinate with internal and external cross-functional groups for other automation related projects.
- Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items.

Trouble Shooting

- Perform break/fix analysis and recommend solutions for finance related processes.
- Identify integration issues and develop solutions to these issues.
- Work with the Service Desk to facilitate incident & problem resolution.

Training

- Provide application support and training to the end users
- Clarify processes to end users and business stakeholders as required
- Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/current functionality and perform application research

Documentation / Compliance

- Create and maintain all required technical documentation per IS methodology and processes around SAP FICO and other projects allotted.




- Provide detailed transactional information to internal and external auditors as required.

MIS & Reports

- Configure / Develop Financial Reports as required by the Functional Team.

Financial Responsibilities

- Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base
- Monitor and adhere to the budgets allocated to the department

People Responsibilities

- Attend trainings on training needs identified or imparted by HR to enhance performance

Education Qualification

- MBA (IT + Finance), CA / ICWA,CFA, Certification in SAP will be added advantage

Work Experience

- 8 to 10 years of SAP FI/CO configuration with minimum one End-to-End Implementations and at least three Support Projects

Industry to be Hired from

- IT/Manufacturing/Agrochemicals/Chemicals/Pharma Industry with SAP-FICO Experience
