Skills Java Full stackReact OR AngularJava BackendJava Frontend s a Full Stack Engineer based in our Chennai office at SMBC, you'll be a strong technical contributor to our digital banking transformation initiatives in Asia Pacific. This is an individual contributor role focused on hands-on development, learning from senior engineers, and growing your technical capabilities across the full stack.

You'll work on real production features from day one while being mentored by experienced engineers who will help accelerate your technical growth. You'll contribute to building scalable, reliable banking solutions across web and mobile platforms, working in a collaborative environment where you'll have opportunities to learn cloud-native development, modern engineering practices, and banking domain expertise. This role is ideal for engineers who are eager to grow, comfortable with mentorship, and ready to make meaningful contributions to an enterprise-scale platform.

Responsibility

- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code across web, mobile, or backend systems
- Implement features according to technical specifications, asking clarifying questions when needed Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback to improve code quality
- Fix bugs and address technical debt in existing systems Write automated tests (unit, integration) to ensure code reliability
- Contribute to technical documentation for features you build

Qualification





- 4 - 15 years of professional software development experience, or 2+ years with robust academic background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience Demonstrated ability to complete projects and deliver working software
- Portfolio of code (GitHub, personal projects, or professional work) showing your capabilities
- Growth mindset - eager to learn, comfortable receiving feedback, and continuously improving
- Strong work ethic and reliable - you follow through on commitments
