Role Description The Freelancer Trainer for Medical Coding / Pharmacovigilance @ IEC will deliver structured classroom sessions and practical training to students on medical coding standards and pharmacovigilance processes. This part-time, on-site role based in Greater Noida (Noida) includes preparing lesson plans, training materials, case studies, and assessments to support academic and skill-based learning. The trainer will explain core concepts, industry guidelines, and regulatory requirements, conduct interactive workshops, mentor students on projects, and evaluate their performance through tests and assignments.

Responsibilities also include staying updated with current industry practices,



incorporating real-world examples into teaching, coordinating with academic staff for scheduling, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The role may involve occasional participation in seminars, guest lectures, and curriculum enhancement activities related to healthcare, medical coding, and safety monitoring.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (such as ICD, CPT, HCPCS) and practical experience applying these in healthcare or related settings.
- Expertise in pharmacovigilance concepts, adverse event reporting, drug safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrated training, teaching, or mentoring experience, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and engage diverse learners.
- Solid understanding of healthcare and life sciences domains (e.g., clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or hospital operations) to provide industry-relevant context.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in English and the ability to prepare clear training materials and assessments.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to plan sessions, manage part-time teaching schedules, and maintain records of student progress.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Nursing, Medicine, or a related discipline; certification in medical coding or pharmacovigilance is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to professional ethics, learner-centered teaching, and continuous learning to keep up with evolving coding standards and safety regulations.
