This is powered by LH2 Media OS – an AI-powered platform that helps digital content brands scale by optimising the entire content value chain – from identifying viral topics and trends in real time to generating story angles, research, and editorial support. We currently work with ~25 brands across different niches with ~50M monthly pageviews under management wherein each brand has been scaled 3-10x.

Our vision is to become the largest distributed digital media company in the world. LH2 is being built by second-time founders who have scaled tech platforms with hundreds of millions of users.

Role Overview

We are looking for a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and pop culture-savvy Entertainment News Editor to join our team on weekends. The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of the U.S. entertainment industry and experience editing breaking celebrity news, viral internet moments, streaming content, television, movies, music, and social media stories.

This position is designed for editors who are available to work during weekends and ensure that entertainment content meets our editorial standards before publication. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving digital newsroom, has exceptional attention to detail, and can edit high volumes of content while maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit 12–15 entertainment news articles per weekend day (Saturday and Sunday) across multiple entertainment categories.
- Review articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, tone, structure, and overall readability.
- Ensure factual accuracy, consistency,



and adherence to editorial guidelines before publication.
- Optimize headlines, subheadings, and article formatting to maximize reader engagement.
- Ensure content is optimized for SEO, Google Discover, and digital publishing best practices.
- Verify sources, fact-check information, and ensure editorial integrity across all published content.
- Collaborate closely with writers to provide constructive feedback and maintain content quality.
- Monitor breaking entertainment news and prioritize time-sensitive stories for publication.
- Maintain consistency in style, voice, and formatting across all published articles.
- Be available to edit breaking entertainment stories and trending topics during weekend hours.

Required Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in digital editing, entertainment journalism, or editorial roles.
- Strong understanding of U.S. pop culture, celebrity news, streaming platforms, and internet trends.
- Excellent command of written English with exceptional grammar and editing skills.
- Ability to edit quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial accuracy.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Google Docs, and digital publishing workflows.
- Availability to work consistently on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Ability to respond to breaking news and trending stories during assigned weekend shifts.

Preferred Skills

- Experience editing content for entertainment or pop culture publications.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, Google Trends, and audience engagement strategies.
- Strong understanding of viral content and social media conversations.
- Ability to identify editorial improvements that increase reader engagement.
- Passion for entertainment media, celebrity culture, and digital storytelling.

Compensation

Compensation will be provided on a per-day basis.

Editors will be paid based on the total number of days worked during the month. At the end of each month, the number of days worked will be calculated, and payroll will be processed accordingly through the company’s standard payroll cycle.
