Role Description The Financial Services Consultant role at HDFC Life is a full-time, on-site position based in Cuttack. The consultant will engage with customers to understand their financial goals and recommend suitable life insurance and investment solutions from HDFC Life’s portfolio. Daily activities include prospecting and meeting potential clients, explaining product features and riders, preparing proposals, and assisting with policy issuance and servicing.

The role also involves maintaining long-term relationships with customers,



ensuring regular reviews of their financial plans, and supporting branch-level sales and marketing initiatives. The consultant is expected to work closely with branch teams to achieve defined sales targets and uphold high standards of customer experience and compliance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess customer needs, evaluate financial options, and interpret data and market information.
- Candidates should possess skills in Finance and Financial Services to understand life insurance, investment products, and broader personal finance concepts.
- Candidates should possess Consulting skills to provide tailored financial guidance, build trust, and support customers in making informed decisions.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to explain complex financial solutions clearly, negotiate, and maintain professional client relationships.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, or a related field are preferred.
- Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial advisory roles is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, with robust customer focus and ethical sales practices.
- Proficiency in local language and basic computer skills for documentation and use of sales tools.
