Position: Financial Controller, Director

About the Role This is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the end-to-end Financial Control function. The role focuses on ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and robustness of financial, statutory, regulatory, and management reporting while driving transformation through automation, analytics, and modern financial technologies.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, partner closely with senior stakeholders, and establish Financial Control as a strategic business partner that supports informed decision-making, regulatory confidence, and sustainable business performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial, statutory, regulatory, and management reporting.
- Establish and embed a strong risk-based financial control framework across the organization.
- Lead core financial control activities, including:
- Balance sheet substantiation
- Variance analysis
- Cost analysis
- Financial reconciliations

- Provide commercially sound recommendations while maintaining a strong governance and control mindset.
- Partner with business leaders to position Financial Control as a key contributor to strategic decision-making.
- Define and execute the Financial Control strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including:

- Process automation
- Financial close acceleration
- Advanced analytics
- AI-enabled finance solutions

- Demonstrate expertise across both legacy finance systems and modern data architecture.
- Lead complex financial reviews, governance initiatives, and transformation programs.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.




- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Finance and the broader business.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be an accomplished finance leader with significant experience in Financial Control within a multinational environment, preferably in the financial services industry.

Experience

- Minimum 16 years of post-qualification experience.
- Extensive experience leading Financial Control functions at a Senior Director or equivalent level.
- Experience working within multinational organizations (MNCs).
- Experience operating within complex global matrix organizations.
- Exposure to Global Capability Centers (GCC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environments is preferred.

Technical Skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Deep understanding of financial controls and governance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with finance transformation, automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled finance tools.
- Understanding of finance data architecture and modern finance platforms.
