Role Description We are looking for an experienced Social Research Consultant to undertake a comprehensive study in the primary education sector. The consultant will work remotely, applying rigorous research methods to generate actionable insights for program evaluation and policy recommendations.

Qualifications

- Strong research skills in education, including study design, data collection, and analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods.




- Ability to develop conceptual frameworks, research tools (questionnaires, interview guides), and rigorous evaluation methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis software or tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Stata, R, or similar) and in presenting insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience preparing research reports, policy briefs, and presentations tailored to NGOs, government bodies, and corporate CSR teams.
- Demonstrated understanding of education systems, public policy, and social sector program implementation in India.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including field coordination with schools, local authorities, and community organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or local languages is an advantage.
- Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior researchers, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality outputs under deadlines.
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field; advanced training in research methods is preferred.
- Prior experience (typically 5+ years) in education-sector
