Key Accountabilities and Challenges: Grade: H7 Shift hour: 1800 to 0300 IST We are seeking a dynamic Team Lead for our Procurement Operations – Order to

Receipt Management team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and optimize procurement activities, ensuring alignment with bp’s strategic goals while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. You will play a critical role in driving efficiency, managing supplier relationships, and delivering value across the organization.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a diverse team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with bp’s overall business objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, risk management, and sustainability.

Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with contractual agreements.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in procurement operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.

Customer Collaboration: Work closely with internal customers to understand their procurement needs and provide tailored solutions.

Performance Metrics: Establish and supervise key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement operations and drive continuous improvement.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to bp’s policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, market trends, and supplier performance to advise strategic decision-making. Accountabilities Lead and Performance manage a team of 10+ FTEs (comprising of both bp staff and contingent labours/workers) operating in diverse service lines within the Order to Receipt space of Procurement Ops.

Serve as a customer concern point for resolving service delivery issues, enabling effective creation of Service Entry Sheets (SES), Purchase Requisitions (PR), material receipts, wells reconciliation, and vendor registrations for BPX. This includes operational issue coordination, and performance management of the team.

The Team Lead plays a pivotal role in the procurement lifecycle by ensuring the timely processing of PRs, SES, stock transfers, and vendor registrations while consistently meeting agreed service levels across all service lines.

Key responsibilities include: Reviewing incoming Electronic Field Tickets and requests for accuracy and completeness and redirecting or advancing them as needed. Collaborating with BP customers such as requestors, sourcing specialists, material coordinators,

operations engineers, inventory teams, suppliers, technical teams,



and squad members to support purchase decision finalization. Acting as the primary liaison between US based Business Procurement Teams and Finance Business & Technology.

Addressing operational issues with suppliers, sourcing specialists, and requestors related to service quality, delivery, goods receipt, invoice discrepancies, payments, and material returns. Managing business asset calls and ensuring assigned actions are completed and closed. Demonstrating strong operational leadership and management expertise.

Proactively supervise and manage the end-to-end transactional pipeline to prioritize workload, enhance user experience, ensure timely work execution within TAT, and resolve issues efficiently.

Provide guidance and support on receipt management to Finance Business & Technology teams and business partners, delivering valuable analysis along with recommendations and proposals.

Support squads in driving timely and innovative process improvements that enhance efficiency, value, and user experience.

Motivate, coach, and collaborate with business partners and third-party vendors to achieve results while fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.

Ensure adherence to applicable policies and regulatory requirements, recognizing country-specific variations, as non-compliance may negatively impact bp Expectations Oversee daily operational activities, provide guidance and support to team members, and ensure the team possesses the skills and experience needed to manage a complex and high-pressure workload.

A minimum of three years’ experience working as a Procurement Buyer, preferably in a direct buying role.

Strong familiarity with relevant systems used for transaction processing, reconciliation, and balance validation to ensure data accuracy.

Proficient in contemporary digital tools, including Copilot, Power BI development, Excel pivot tables and data analysis, as well as creating PowerPoint presentations for customer meetings and reviews.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective customer engagement and interaction with senior leadership.

Responsible for high-value SES and PR transactions, requiring a high level of attention to detail, thorough review, and accuracy to mitigate financial and reputational risks.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners to support high-quality service delivery.

Coordinate effectively with multiple internal and external customers across different time zones, requiring disciplined planning and collaboration.

Manage team members supporting diverse vendors across various geographies and operating on multiple systems.

Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Collaborative and engaging working style that promotes teamwork.

Resilient and experienced in operating within a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.

Working hours: US shift (3:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST), with flexibility to align with business partner needs. Qualifications, Proficiencies & Approach: Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree with experience in management, Business, Engineering, Finance & Accounting,



or related field Certification in CPSM/CIPS/CPM/SPSM or equivalent is an added advantage.

Overall work experience of 12+ years, including a min exp. of 5-6 years team leading experience in the current role. Proven expertise in leading teams, managing large business initiatives/projects, and driving critical thinking. Strong skills in relationship management and process optimization.

Strong understanding of procurement and general accounting practices with detailed knowledge of accounts payable practices Proficient in Procurement applications/tools including S/4HANA, SAP SRM, Ariba, and Salesforce.
