Role Description The Event Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area.

The Event

Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute events such as weddings, destination weddings, parties, rice ceremonies, and inauguration programs, managing timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships. This role includes meeting with clients to understand their requirements, preparing event proposals, overseeing décor and logistics, and ensuring smooth operations on the event day.

The Event

Manager will collaborate with internal team members and external partners, supervise set-up and breakdown,



and handle on-the-spot issue resolution to maintain high service standards. The role also involves maintaining documentation, tracking expenses, and contributing ideas to improve event concepts and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Event planning and coordination skills, including experience managing weddings, social events, and corporate functions.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to understand requirements and present clear proposals.
- Vendor and stakeholder management skills, including negotiation, scheduling, and relationship building.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events and tight timelines.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in rapid-paced, on-site event environments.
- Basic budgeting and cost-control skills to manage event finances efficiently.
- Comfort working on-site, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Relevant experience in event management or hospitality; a diploma or degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local venues and suppliers in the Greater Kolkata Area is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain a professional, inclusive attitude with all clients and partners.
