About the Role
We are looking for a motivated ESG Analyst with 2+ years of experience to support our organization's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who understands sustainability frameworks, enjoys working with data and reports, and wants to help drive responsible business practices no technical/coding background required.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and track ESG-related data from internal teams and external sources
- Support and implement the preparation of ESG/sustainability reports (e.g., annual reports, disclosures, investor updates)
- Assist in benchmarking company performance against ESG standards and frameworks
- Monitor regulatory updates and industry trends related to ESG and sustainability
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations, Legal) to gather ESG-relevant information
- Support ESG rating agency submissions and investor/stakeholder queries
- Help maintain ESG documentation, policies, and compliance trackers
- Liaise and coordinate with climate, gender, and social impact funds, tracking commitments, reporting requirements, and engagement outcomes
- Conduct research on best practices, competitor ESG initiatives, and emerging sustainability topics
- Assist in preparing presentations, dashboards, and summaries for leadership
- Support the design and execution of agri-tech and climate-smart initiatives, including awareness campaigns and on-ground program tracking
- Assist in planning and implementing gender and social impact campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational ESG goals
- Prepare reports and documentation on gender and social impact program outcomes for internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Environmental Science, Business, Economics, Public Policy, Sustainability, Agriculture, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, CSR, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of ESG concepts and reporting frameworks
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Solid research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ESG rating platforms
- Exposure to sustainability reporting software
Skills & Competencies
- Stakeholder coordination
- Report writing and documentation
- Analytical thinking (non-technical/data interpretation, not coding)
- Excel - Advanced (Mandatory)
Candidates from institutes such as TISS, IRMA, with specialization in Sustainability, Rural Management, or Disaster Management, will be preferred.
