Role & responsibilities
Engagement Delivery
- Work and lead on engagements with multidisciplinary teams, primarily focused on leading/supporting Oracle ERP implementations
- Serve key resource to bring technology and Finance processes together during ERP system implementations
- Oracle Fusion/Cloud as a Finance Functional Consultant, End-to-End Implementation,
- Finance transformation (including within an ERP or Planning and Budgeting tool implementation)
- Conduct organizational diagnostics across all finance processes
- Conduct analyses in support of improvement initiatives (e.g. costing, cost-benefit, benchmarking)
- Analyze financial and operational data;
- Establish credibility with existing and new clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge in finance, strategy and ERP
- Vendor and software selection (including business requirements gathering)
Engagement Management
- Support the engagement director / partner in managing engagement risk and project economics including planning and budgeting
- Prepare and review deliverable content
- Ensure the quality of deliverables meets with PwC and client expectations
Business Development
- Participate in and lead aspects of the proposal development process
- Contribute to proposal writing
- Team with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Consulting services
- Support the development of "thought leadership" and "point-of-view" documents
People Development:
- Perform role of coach; and actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities
- Share knowledge across the global PwC network
- Provide input and guidance into the firms staffing/resource management process
- Actively participate in staff recruitment
- Be aware and up to date with all technology and market developments
Preferred candidate profile
- 10+ years of professional experience in financial services
- Experience managing complex projects within a professional services environment and a global delivery model is ideal
- Experience in development of ERP blue prints (including baseline of ERP capabilities, development of high level solution design and delivery of business cases and program roadmaps)
- In addition, the candidate(s) must have experience in one or more of the following fields:
- Working expertise in Finance Operations, Financial Planning and Analysis forecasting and budgeting, management reporting, Record-to-Report financial close, consolidation, financial and management reporting;
- Understanding of the core Accounting areas
- Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the planning, budgeting and forecasting areas.
- Experience implementing Strategic modelling and value driver analysis
- Experience leading both external and internal teams on medium or large scale finance transformations
- Understanding of or hands-on experience with financial applications and/or enterprise management solutions (e.g. SAP S4/Hana, Workday Financials, Oracle AFCS / AHCS or Microsoft F&O;) is preferred.
- High level of client service orientation such as building solid relationships with clients and vendors; approaching clients and vendors in an organized manner, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks
- Excellent team player with strong leadership skills and an understanding of personal and team roles; contributing to a positive work environment and proactively seeking guidance and feedback.
