About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our rapid-growing, AI-driven product startup and lead our engineering team in building scalable, high-quality products. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the technology, understands modern AI development practices, and can balance people leadership, product thinking, and technical execution. The ideal candidate comes from a SaaS or product-based technology company, has experience working in an AI-driven engineering environment, and is comfortable using modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and similar tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team while maintaining strong engineering standards.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Leadership teams to translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Remain hands-on with technology, contributing to architecture, code reviews, technical decisions, and critical engineering problems.
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted software development and contemporary engineering practices across the team.
- Leverage tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and other AI coding/development tools to improve engineering productivity and development velocity.
- Guide the team in designing and building scalable, reliable, and secure SaaS products.
- Establish best practices around system design, coding standards,



testing, CI/CD, observability, and engineering processes.
- Own technical execution and ensure timely delivery of high-impact product initiatives.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and continuously improve engineering productivity, quality, and development processes.
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, speed, experimentation, and continuous learning.
- Participate in hiring, team building, performance management, and career development of engineers.
- Stay current with emerging developments in Generative AI, LLMs, AI-native development, and modern software engineering.

Requirements

- 10-14 years of software engineering experience, with meaningful experience in engineering leadership/management.
- Strong experience in a SaaS, B2B SaaS, or product-based technology company.
- Experience working in an AI/ML or AI-first engineering environment.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to still dive deep into technical problems.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.
- Proven experience building and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced startup or product environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in an environment with high ownership, ambiguity, and rapid execution.
- Strong product mindset — understands not just how to build, but what to build and why.
