Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager – AI Transformation / Applied AI Engineering to lead engineering teams building enterprise-grade AI solutions.

The role combines people leadership, hands-on architecture, coding, stakeholder management and delivery ownership . The ideal candidate should have a strong software engineering foundation, experience building applications, excellent architecture skills and proven experience delivering AI/ML/GenAI solutions in production.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and guide software, data, ML and full-stack engineering teams.
- Contribute to architecture and system design for AI-powered applications.
- Design and deliver GenAI, LLM, RAG, agentic AI and enterprise AI solutions.
- Partner with Product Managers, business stakeholders, architects, data teams and governance teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans.
- Own engineering execution across design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and production support.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and cost-efficient.
- Drive engineering best practices, code quality, design reviews, CI/CD, observability and documentation.
- Manage stakeholder communication, delivery risks, dependencies and technical trade-offs.




- Drive reusable AI components, engineering accelerators and AI development practices.

Required Experience
- 15–18 years of total engineering experience.
- 9–12 years of relevant engineering/software leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on software development and application-building experience.
- Robust architecture and system design background.
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on AI/ML/GenAI experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of people management experience.
- Experience delivering AI/ML/GenAI/LLM/RAG/automation solutions in production.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, microservices, DevOps and CI/CD.
- Experience working with cross-functional Product, Business, Architecture, Security, Data and Platform teams.

Organization Background – Important
- Product / Startup organization experience is strongly preferred.
- Prefer candidates with 10+ years of startup/product organization experience within the last 15 years .
- Do not consider profiles primarily from service organizations such as Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc.
- Non-banking / non-fintech backgrounds preferred.
- Indian fintech/product organizations such as Razorpay or Zeta may be considered.
- Oracle, RBS and EY backgrounds are not preferred.
