Experienced Mechanical Designer with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in mechanical engineering design and drafting using Siemens UG NX CAD software and SolidWorks, detailed design, manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials release.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Visualize and define design of recent machines, sections, systems/units, and any related alterations to other structures/parts.
- Prepare moderately complex layouts/drawings using CAD tools; evaluate design to verify fit and function with due consideration for manufacturing feasibility, cost and operation.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure pertinent engineering calculations for materials, stresses, clearances or other factors, involving use of advanced mathematics and current CAD technologies.
- Prepare bills of material, assembly and detailed drawings, pneumatic schematics and other data utilizing CAD tools.
- Analyse and review moderately complex requests for engineering changes using task/check lists and other design documents adherence to project milestones with accurate execution.
- May assist in the development of standard work procedures
- May support other departments; assist with manufacturing or procurement problems; maintain supplier interface; assist with trial runs.
- May make field service trips to customer locations to offer technical assistance during installation and operations to identify areas of opportunity for manufacturing or operational improvement

Mandatory Tool Skills: •UG NX Siemens
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
• MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with more than 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Machineries and Equipment, discrete product machineries
• Experience in Printing, Packaging and Converting Machines OEM is preferrable.
