We are hiring ER In-Charge / Emergency Department In-Charge

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and responsible ER In-Charge to manage the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient patient care, staff coordination, and compliance with clinical and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Emergency Department.
- Ensure prompt and effective emergency care and patient management.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, technicians, and other departments.
- Supervise nursing staff and allocate duties according to workload.
- Monitor triage, emergency procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Ensure proper documentation, nursing records, and patient reports.
- Maintain adequate availability of emergency drugs, equipment, and consumables.
- Ensure emergency equipment such as crash carts, defibrillators, ventilators, and monitors are functional and ready for use.
- Monitor infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
- Handle emergency situations and coordinate rapid response when required.
- Conduct staff training, orientation, and regular skill development programmes.




- Prepare duty rosters and monitor staff attendance and performance.
- Address patient and bystander concerns professionally.
- Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, ICU, OT, pharmacy, and other support departments.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement activities, and incident reporting.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and statutory/clinical guidelines.

Required Skills:

- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent emergency nursing and clinical coordination skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Knowledge of emergency protocols, triage, BLS/ACLS, and infection control.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple emergencies efficiently.

Qualification: B.Sc Nursing / Post B.Sc Nursing / GNM

6–12 years of total nursing experience

Experience in Emergency/ER Department preferred.

Kerala Registration is mandatory
