Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Embedded Linux Engineer — Robotics role based in the Pune Division. Junior and Senior team members will design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux systems that run on robotic and industrial hardware deployed on the factory floor.
Day-to-day work includes configuring and optimizing Linux environments, integrating hardware interfaces and sensors, developing kernel- and user-space components, and ensuring robust system performance in production. The engineer will collaborate closely with robotics, software, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and support new product features.
Responsibilities also include documenting system configurations,
contributing to architecture decisions, and participating in code reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Solid troubleshooting skills for diagnosing, debugging, and resolving issues in embedded and robotics systems.
- Proficiency in Linux System Administration and general System Administration for configuring, securing, and maintaining embedded environments.
- Experience with Linux Kernel concepts, drivers, and low-level system components relevant to embedded robotics.
- Understanding of Infrastructure for deploying, monitoring, and updating devices in industrial or robotics settings.
- Hands-on experience with C/C++ or Rust for embedded development, and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Knowledge of real-time systems, hardware interfaces (e.g., CAN, SPI, I2C, UART), and common robotics frameworks or middleware.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in technical and non-technical discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in industrial automation or robotics is an advantage.
