Job Requirement: Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC/SCADA systems (Siemens, Schneider, L&T;, Omron, DELTA or equivalent) including ladder logic modification, HMI configuration, and I/O troubleshooting
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Servo Drive & Stepper Motor systems (Siemens, Omron, DELTA or equivalent) including Encoders and I/O troubleshooting
- Calibrate, install, and maintain field instrumentation — RTDs, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, flow meters, level switches/transmitters, proximity sensors, and load cells
- Configure and tune PID control loops for temperature, pressure, flow, and level control systems
- Design, review, and troubleshoot control panel wiring, control circuit schematics, and power distribution for motors, VFDs, and control systems
- Perform root-cause analysis for instrumentation/control faults and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Maintain and update asset registers, loop diagrams, P&IDs;, and electrical single-line diagrams
- Coordinate with process/mechanical teams for commissioning, shutdowns, and plant upgrades
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E/IS/IEC as applicable) and instrumentation standards (ISA)
- Support predictive/preventive maintenance programs for electrical drives, motors, and control systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Instrumentation, Engineering
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in an industrial/plant maintenance or automation environment
- Strong working knowledge of PLC and SCADA/HMI platforms; Servo Drives Motor system
- Practical experience with field sensors — temperature (RTD/TC), pressure transmitters, flow, level instruments
- Solid understanding of PID control theory and loop tuning
- Experience reading/creating control wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with VFDs, motor control centers (MCCs), and protection relays
- Working knowledge of instrumentation calibration procedures and test equipment
- Exposure to industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) is a plus
- Solid documentation skills — asset registers, maintenance logs, technical reports
Preferred / Good to Have
- Experience with condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, MCSA, thermography)
- Familiarity with NFPA 20/25 (fire pump systems), ISO 10816 (vibration), or similar industry standards
- Prior experience maintaining test rig or process equipment instrumentation
- Basic understanding of electric motor preventive maintenance programs
