OCS Services is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) team based in Mumbai. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for electrical and power systems, supporting brownfield modifications, asset integrity, and operational excellence across our offshore assets.

As we continue to strengthen our Engineering Assurance capability, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our offshore Operations & Maintenance and Brownfield Projects.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of electrical and power systems while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple offshore assets.
What You Will Do In this role, you will:
- Provide technical leadership for electrical engineering and power systems across O&M; assets.
- Deliver engineering design support for plant modifications, brownfield projects, and asset integrity initiatives.
- Review and approve engineering and vendor deliverables to ensure compliance with company and international standards.
- Monitor electrical systems to ensure they operate within design limits and Safety Critical Element (SCE) performance standards.
- Support Operations Risk Assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SAFOP, and Management of Change (MoC) activities.
- Perform verification audits and support assurance activities relating to electrical systems.
- Provide technical support to offshore operations teams and assist in resolving complex electrical issues.
- Support commissioning, handover, and operational readiness of new and existing assets.
- Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Develop scopes of work and technical specifications for engineering consultants and contractors.
- Ensure electrical equipment designs comply with applicable international codes and standards.
- Review project progress and recommend corrective actions to meet engineering schedules.
- Assist in developing operating and maintenance procedures for electrical equipment.
- Evaluate technical submissions and support vendor pre-qualification during procurement activities.
- Conduct competency assessments of Site Responsible Person Electrical (RPE).
- Provide engineering input during bid preparation for new projects and operating assets.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of engineering assurance processes and risk-based engineering practices.
Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in Electrical and Power Systems Engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Experience working with an Engineering Consultancy or EPC organization.
- Experience with an Oil & Gas Operating Company will be a significant advantage.
- Offshore Oil & Gas or FPSO experience will be an added advantage.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of international standards for:
- Power System Design
- Medium & Low Voltage Electrical Systems
- Relay Protection Systems
- Power Generation & Distribution
- Power Management & Load Shedding Systems
- Good knowledge of hazardous area electrical equipment (IEC 60079 / ATEX).
- Familiarity with engineering software such as ETAP, EDSA, and LUXICON is desirable.
- Valuable understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces and offshore engineering best practices.
Interpersonal Skills
- Self-motivated with a structured and systematic approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
