Position
Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with 3–8 years of experience in Electrical MEP Design Consultancy.
The candidate will be responsible for complete electrical system design from concept stage to IFC drawings for residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional, and industrial building projects.
This is a pure design and consulting role, involving detailed engineering calculations, Single Line Diagram preparation, Cable Tray Design, Lighting Layout development, Lux Level Calculation, Electrical BOQ Preparation, and Earthing System Design.
Site execution or maintenance-only profiles will not be considered. 2.
Key Responsibilities: A.
Electrical System
Design & Engineering
Preparation of detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for LV power distribution systems
Design of Low Voltage (LV) power distribution systems (230V / 400V)
Basic exposure to Medium Voltage (MV) systems (11kV / 33kV)
Development of Power Layouts, Lighting Layouts, and Small Power Layouts
Preparation of Lighting Looping Layouts
Design of Cable Tray Routing and Cable Tray Layouts
Preparation of Consulting Layout Drawings and Coordination Drawings
Development of Panel Schedules, Load Schedules, and Cable Schedules
Preparation of Riser Diagrams and Shaft Coordination Drawings
Design of Earthing System as per IS 3043
Design of Lightning Protection System (LPS)
Planning of DG, UPS, ATS panels, and emergency power systems B.
Electrical Engineering
Calculations & Technical Analysis
Connected Load Calculation and Demand Load Calculation
Diversity Factor Analysis
Transformer Sizing and DG Capacity Calculation
Cable Sizing based on Current Carrying Capacity
Voltage Drop Calculation
Short Circuit Level Calculation
Circuit Breaker and Protection Device Selection
Power Factor Correction Analysis
Fault Level Estimation
Compliance with NBC, IS Codes, and IEC Standards C.
Lighting
Design & Lux Level Engineering
Interior Lighting Design (Commercial, Residential, Retail, Hospitality)
Exterior and Landscape Lighting Planning
Emergency Lighting System Design
Lux Level Calculation using Dialux / AGi32
Lux Level Verification as per NBC & IS Standards
LED Lighting Optimization and Energy-Efficient Lighting Solutions
Basic understanding of ECBC requirements D. BOQ Preparation & Documentation
Electrical BOQ Preparation with itemized material specifications
Quantity Take-Off from Electrical Layout Drawings
Preparation of Technical Specifications for Panels, Cables, Luminaires, and Equipment
Vendor Technical Comparison and Review Support
Value Engineering and Cost Optimization Suggestions
Preparation of Electrical Design Reports and Documentation E. Coordination & Design Management
Coordination with HVAC, Plumbing,
Fire Fighting, and Architectural teams
Participation in BIM Coordination Meetings
Clash Detection Support in Revit MEP Models
Interface with Clients for Technical Discussions and Clarifications
Managing Multiple Projects Simultaneously
Ensuring timely submission of design deliverables 3.
Required
Qualifications
Education
B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory) Experience
3–8 Years in Electrical MEP Design Consultancy
Experience in multiple building projects
Consultancy background preferred over contractor or site-only profiles 4.
