: EHS Executive

Role Overview The EHS Executive will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Environment, Health & Safety programs across the corporate workplace and facility operations. The role includes ensuring statutory compliance, managing contractor safety, conducting workplace inspections, supporting emergency preparedness initiatives, and promoting a safe and healthy work setting.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, local laws, and client requirements.
- Maintain all EHS-related records, permits, licenses, and statutory documentation.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of office premises, common areas, and engineering facilities.
- Track and close safety observations and audit findings within agreed timelines.
Fire & Life Safety Management
- Monitor fire alarm systems, firefighting equipment, and emergency response infrastructure.
- Conduct periodic fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency response teams when required.
- Ensure emergency exits, assembly points, and signage are maintained as per standards.
Contractor & Vendor Safety
- Ensure safe execution of maintenance and project activities by contractors and vendors.
- Conduct contractor safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes for electrical work, work at height, hot work, confined space activities, etc.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during fit-outs, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Risk Assessment & Incident Management
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments for facility operations.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events and prepare corrective action reports.
- Recommend preventive measures to minimize workplace risks.
Health, Safety & Employee Awareness
- Conduct EHS induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Organize safety campaigns, awareness sessions, and training programs.
- Promote a culture of safety and employee well-being across the workplace.
Environmental & Sustainability Initiatives
- Support waste management, water conservation, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor environmental compliance and sustainability programs within the facility.
- Assist in ESG and sustainability reporting requirements, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or Environment Management preferred.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, Fire Safety Certification, or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
- 3-6 years of EHS experience in Corporate Offices, IT Parks, Commercial Buildings, Facility Management, or Real Estate environments.
- Experience in managing contractor safety, permit-to-work systems, and fire & life safety operations.
- Exposure to Facility Management organizations such as JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, ISS, Sodexo, Compass, or similar organizations preferred.
