Role Description: Ashish Publication is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Editorial Writer/Content Developer & Proofreader to develop, write, edit, and refine high-quality educational and examination-focused content for print and digital publications.

The ideal candidate should have a strong command of both Hindi and English, excellent writing and editorial abilities, sound academic research skills, and a strong understanding of educational publishing. The role involves the complete content development cycle—from ideating book concepts and planning content structures to writing, editing, proofreading,



and reviewing final composed books before publication.

The candidate should also be comfortable using AI tools for content ideation, research assistance, content development, editing, and productivity, while independently verifying all AI-assisted material for factual accuracy, originality, language quality, syllabus relevance, and publication standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, write, and edit educational and exam-focused content for print and digital books.
- Research academic topics, syllabi, exam patterns, and learner requirements.
- Plan and ideate book content, chapters, practice questions, and new titles.
- Proofread composed/typeset books for language, factual, formatting, and typographical errors.
- Review and refine content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and editorial quality.
- Use AI tools for content ideation, drafting, editing, and research while ensuring proper verification.
- Collaborate with editors, subject experts, designers, and composing teams.
- Ensure content follows curriculum requirements, examination standards, and publication guidelines.
- Suggest improvements to make books more engaging, useful, and student-friendly.
- Manage multiple editorial projects and complete assignments within deadlines.





Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Hindi, Education, Humanities, Science, Commerce, Social Sciences, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience in content writing, editing, proofreading, or educational publishing.
- Excellent command of Hindi and English, with solid writing, speaking, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills in both languages.
- Strong editorial and content development skills for educational and exam-oriented publications.
- Good research and fact-checking skills, with familiarity with academic sources, syllabi, and examination patterns.
- Strong understanding of the Indian school education system, board exams, and competitive examination content.
- Awareness of current market trends and emerging developments in the publishing industry, including digital publishing, e-learning content, hybrid learning models, and evolving reader preferences.
- High attention to detail for identifying language, factual, formatting, and typographical errors.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools for content ideation, drafting, editing, and research, along with the ability to critically verify AI-generated content.
- Proficiency in MS Word and basic digital publishing/content creation tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Prior experience in educational publishing, content writing, editing, or proofreading will be an added advantage.
