Assistant Manager – D2C Growth & E-commerce

We are looking for a commercially driven Assistant Manager – D2C Growth & E-commerce to drive the growth of assigned categories across Shopify and marketplace channels. The role is responsible for end-to-end execution across merchandising, customer experience, digital growth, website optimization, and analytics to deliver category revenue growth and an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with hands-on D2C experience, understands branding and consumer behaviour, and can translate insights into actions that improve business performance. They should be equally comfortable working with data, creative teams, agencies, and technology partners to build high-performing digital brands. Key Responsibilities

Drive the growth and performance of assigned categories across Shopify and marketplace channels.

Manage and optimize Shopify storefronts, ensuring a seamless customer journey and best-in-class user experience.

Own digital merchandising, product listings, collections, landing pages, promotions, and on-site merchandising.

Partner with Digital Marketing teams to improve traffic quality, conversion, ROAS, and customer acquisition.

Analyze category performance using Shopify Analytics, GA4, and marketplace dashboards, and translate insights into actionable growth initiatives.

Identify opportunities to improve conversion rate, average order value (AOV), customer lifetime value (LTV), and repeat purchases.

Coordinate with design, content, developers, agencies, and internal stakeholders to execute campaigns and website enhancements.

Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints while adapting the website experience to each category's positioning, target audience, and brand voice.

Support CRM, retention, SEO, personalization, and customer engagement initiatives to drive sustainable growth.





Monitor customer behaviour, market trends, and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities and improve category performance.

Profile

5–8 years of experience in D2C E-commerce, preferably with consumer brands.

Hands-on experience managing Shopify stores and scaling D2C businesses.

Exposure to marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of digital merchandising, customer journeys, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and e-commerce best practices.

Strong understanding of performance marketing across Meta, Google, and marketplace advertising, with the ability to interpret campaign performance and optimize business outcomes.

Strong commercial and analytical acumen with the ability to convert data into business decisions.

Good understanding of branding, consumer behaviour, category management, and marketing strategy.

Strong visual sensibility with an eye for website aesthetics, product presentation, merchandising, and user experience.

Ability to understand and adapt to different category strategies, brand voices, and customer segments.

Experience collaborating with marketing, creative, technology, operations, and agency partners.

Familiarity with GA4, Shopify Analytics, Search Console, Klaviyo, WebEngage, MoEngage, Shopify Flow, or similar D2C growth tools is preferred.

Self-driven, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced growth workplace.
