: Draftsman – Security & Telecom Systems/BIM

Location: Chennai

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Draftsman – Security & Telecom Systems to support the design, documentation, and execution of ELV, Security, and Telecom infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation aligned with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed CAD drawings for Security & Telecom systems including:
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Intrusion Alarm Systems
- Structured Cabling
- Public Address / Intercom Systems
- Networking & Telecom layouts
- Develop GA drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, device layouts, and riser diagrams.
- Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Update drawings based on site conditions, red-line markups, and client comments.
- Prepare as-built drawings and final documentation for project handover.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local codes, client standards, and best practices.
- Maintain proper drawing control, versioning, and document logs.




- Support BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Certification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on drafting experience in Security and Telecom / ELV systems.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of Revit or BIM is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of ELV systems design concepts and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications, schedules, and technical documents.
- Experience working on Industrial, commercial buildings, data centers, IT parks, airports, hospitals, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Valuable coordination skills with consultants, vendors, and site engineers.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet project deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

- Familiarity with international standards (TIA/EIA, ISO, NFPA, etc.)
- Experience in multi-location or large-scale projects
- Willingness to travel to project sites if required
