Consultant / Solution Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Domain Consultant to drive domain-led consulting, presales, solution conceptualization, and offering development across the end-to-end supply chain.

The individual will work closely with customers, sales teams, industry leaders, data scientists, architects, engineering teams, and technology partners to understand business challenges and translate them into differentiated digital, analytics, AI/ML, Generative AI, agentic AI, and automation solutions.

The role requires strong knowledge of supply chain business processes, the ability to engage with senior customer stakeholders, and experience developing proposals, solution presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, and reusable industry accelerators.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Domain Consulting

Provide domain consulting across the end-to-end supply chain, including planning, procurement, manufacturing, order management, warehousing, transportation, fulfilment, returns, and settlement.

Conduct customer discovery sessions and workshops to understand business processes, operational challenges, technology landscapes, data availability, and expected business outcomes.

Analyse current-state supply chain processes and identify opportunities for digital transformation, automation, optimization, and AI-led decision-making.

Translate customer business requirements into functional requirements, solution concepts, use cases, process flows, and implementation roadmaps.

Provide supply chain domain inputs throughout the solution design and development lifecycle.

End-to-End Supply Chain Coverage The role is expected to support solution development across areas such as:

Demand forecasting, demand sensing, supply planning, and inventory optimization

Sales and Operations Planning and Integrated Business Planning

Procurement, Source-to-Pay, and Procure-to-Pay processes

Supplier management, sourcing, purchase order management, and procurement analytics

Manufacturing, production planning, capacity planning, and quality management

Order management, Order-to-Cash, fulfilment, billing, and collections

Warehouse operations, inventory visibility, and autonomous replenishment

Transportation planning, route optimization, freight management, and last-mile delivery

Shipment tracking, ETA prediction, carrier management, and logistics visibility

Proof of Delivery, freight audit, invoice reconciliation, claims, and settlement

Returns management, reverse logistics, and product disposition

Supply chain control towers, risk management, exception management, and decision intelligence

Trade documentation, intelligent document processing, and workflow automation

Supplier, carrier, warehouse, and customer performance analytics

AI, Analytics and Digital Solutioning

Collaborate with data science, AI, engineering, cloud, application development, and automation teams to conceptualize supply chain solutions using: Advanced analytics and data science

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Generative AI and conversational AI

Agentic AI and autonomous decision-support systems

Intelligent automation and workflow orchestration

Computer vision and document intelligence

Digital twins, IoT, and real-time supply chain visibility





Identify emerging supply chain challenges and develop new solution concepts beyond the organization?s existing solutions and accelerators.

Define functional flows, business rules, decision points, human-in-the-loop controls, exception scenarios, and expected business outcomes.

Support the development of proof of concepts, prototypes, demonstrations, and minimum viable products.

Evaluate the business relevance and scalability of emerging technologies for supply chain applications.

Presales and Solution Development

Work with sales and account teams to qualify opportunities and develop appropriate supply chain value propositions.

Participate in customer meetings, discovery workshops, solution presentations, and capability demonstrations.

Lead or contribute to RFPs, RFIs, proposals, statements of work, questionnaires, and technical-commercial responses.

Develop solution approaches, functional architectures, operating models, transformation roadmaps, and implementation plans.

Define solution scope, assumptions, dependencies, deliverables, business perks, and success measures.

Work with technical architects and delivery teams to develop effort estimates, staffing models, timelines, and commercials.

Present proposed solutions and their business value to customer executives and operational stakeholders.

Support deal progression by addressing customer questions, refining the solution, and coordinating follow-up demonstrations or workshops.

Offering and Accelerator Development

Identify market opportunities and emerging trends across supply chain, logistics, retail, and consumer goods.

Develop new supply chain offerings, accelerators, frameworks, reference architectures, and reusable solution assets.

Create industry-specific use cases, capability decks, point-of-view documents, case studies, solution briefs, and demo narratives.

Collaborate with internal teams to convert solution concepts into repeatable and scalable offerings.

Define business KPIs and value-realization frameworks for new solutions.

Support internal sales-enablement sessions and train sales and delivery teams on supply chain offerings.

Maintain awareness of competitor capabilities, market trends, technology developments, and evolving customer priorities.

Stakeholder and Delivery Collaboration

Act as the domain bridge between customers, sales teams, business analysts, data scientists, solution architects, engineering teams, and delivery teams.

Engage with customer stakeholders across supply chain, logistics, procurement, operations, finance, IT, and digital transformation functions.

Work with delivery teams during project initiation to ensure accurate transfer of business context, requirements, assumptions, and expected outcomes.

Review solution designs, functional flows, demonstrations, and project deliverables from a supply chain domain perspective.





Support project teams in resolving functional questions and maintaining alignment with customer business objectives.

Coordinate with ecosystem partners and technology vendors wherever required.

Required Experience and Skills

Strong experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, or related domains.

Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Return, and Enable.

Working knowledge of business processes such as Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, transportation management, warehouse management, inventory planning, and fulfilment.

Experience in supply chain consulting, digital transformation, business analysis, presales, solution consulting, or offering development.

Ability to understand customer business problems and translate them into technology-enabled solutions.

Experience preparing proposals, RFP responses, solution decks, process flows, case studies, and executive presentations.

Familiarity with AI/ML, Generative AI, agentic AI, analytics, automation, digital twins, IoT, computer vision, and cloud-based solutions.

Understanding of enterprise applications and platforms such as ERP, TMS, WMS, OMS, procurement platforms, control towers, and data platforms.

Strong presentation, storytelling, workshop facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technology teams, delivery leaders, and senior executives.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and solution-conceptualization capabilities.

Ability to work across multiple customer opportunities and internal initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in supply chain consulting, solution consulting, presales, digital transformation, or technology services.

Experience working with customers in logistics, transportation, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce.

Familiarity with supply chain platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Manhattan, o9, Coupa, or similar solutions would be advantageous.

Certifications in supply chain, project management, cloud, analytics, or relevant enterprise platforms would be an added advantage.
