Our ingredients find application in animal nutrition, human nutrition, personal care, etc. We provide high-quality feed & food additives having application in poultry, dairy, aqua & pet food industry. In Human Nutrition & Health Solutions, we offer food ingredients & premix solutions to nutrition.

Summary The Lead Project Management is responsible for leading all capital projects at the Ingrevia site (excluding R&D;, IT, and Admin), ensuring timely execution, cost control, and compliance with statutory and quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and coordination across cross-functional teams including Design, Supply Chain, Vendors, Construction, and Manufacturing.
The Construction General Manager (Projects) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall accountability for the successful execution of capital projects from concept to commissioning.
The role ensures project delivery in line with safety, quality, cost, schedule, and business objectives while leading cross-functional teams, managing contractors, and engaging key stakeholders.
The incumbent drives operational excellence, compliance, risk management, team development, and continuous improvement to achieve safe, efficient, and sustainable project outcomes.
Core Accountability: Deliver projects with Zero Harm, On-Time Completion, Cost Excellence, Quality Compliance, and Seamless Handover to Operations while building a high-performing project organization and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Job Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead overall planning and execution of all site projects (excluding R&D;, IT, and Admin).
- Ensure timely project delivery using scheduling tools like MSP, Primavera, or Smartsheet.
- Monitor schedules closely and escalate delays proactively.
- Plan resources effectively in line with project timelines.
Cost & Budget Management
- Maintain strict cost control to prevent overruns.
- Validate cost and timelines for recent projects and Capex.
- Keep departmental expenses within budget.
- Forecast cash flow and coordinate with Finance for timely capital payments.
Design & Procurement Coordination
- Ensure timely release of design documents from Design & Engineering.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain for material ordering and PO releases.
- Review and evaluate new vendors/suppliers with SCM.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure timely submission of statutory compliance documents.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation.
- Support internal and external audits of the Project Department.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure third-party inspections of equipment and materials as per QAP.
- Collaborate with Design, Maintenance, and Production for quality control.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Interface with Design, SCM, Vendors, Construction, and Manufacturing teams for smooth project execution.
- Mentor and develop second-line project team members.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation in project processes.
Reporting & Reviews
- Compile and circulate MIS reports to SBU, CEO, and top management.
- Review scope, schedule, and cost for major projects fortnightly; monthly for others.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality documents and drawings to stakeholders.
System Proficiency
- Proficient in project scheduling tools (MSP / Primavera / Smartsheet).
- Experienced with ERP systems (LN Infor / SAP / Baan)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project execution from planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure delivery of projects within approved scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards .
- Drive a Zero Harm Safety Culture through proactive risk management, audits, compliance, and contractor engagement.
- Manage project budgets, CAPEX control, cost optimization, claims, and financial governance.
- Establish and monitor project schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation and recovery plans.
- Oversee contractor and vendor performance, productivity, quality, and contractual compliance.
- Ensure timely availability of engineering deliverables, materials, manpower, and resources.
- Lead quality assurance activities to achieve defect-free construction and successful project handover.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, QA/QC, HSE, Finance, and other support functions.
The Person Qualifications & Experience
- B. Tech (Mech. or Chem.), MBA in Project Management.
- 18-20 years of experience in Speciality Chemicals / Fine Chemicals / Continuous and Batch Chemical Plant/ any consultancy firms working in chemical domain.
- Strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail with sound general and functional knowledge.
- Proficient in applying engineering concepts in day-to-day operations; recognized as a subject matter expert.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering ; MBA/PGDM in Project
Management preferred.
- 18-20 years of experience in project execution and construction management within Specialty Chemicals, Fine / Agro Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Process Industries, or Engineering Consultancy organizations serving the chemical sector.
- Proven experience in executing Greenfield, brownfield, continuous process, and batch plant projects from concept to commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of project management, construction methodologies, engineering practices, statutory compliance, and contractor management.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing safety, quality, cost, schedule, and stakeholder expectations for large-scale CAPEX projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities with a results-oriented approach.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and decision-making capability.
- Sound techno-commercial understanding with the ability to drive cost optimization and operational excellence.
