We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fresher / Entry-Level DevOps Engineer to join our cloud operations team. In this role, you will help manage, automate, and scale our AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and monitoring systems. You will collaborate closely with software developers (specifically working with Node.js applications) to ensure smooth deployments, high availability, and operational efficiency.

This is an ideal position for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong foundation in cloud computing, Linux, scripting, and containerization who is eager to build hands-on DevOps expertise in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Cloud Infrastructure & AWS Management

- Provision, manage, and maintain core AWS resources including EC2, Lambda (Serverless functions), RDS (Relational Database Service), S3, and VPC.
- Assist in organizing cloud access, IAM permissions, and basic cloud security best practices.

1. Containerization & Orchestration

- Containerize applications using Docker to ensure consistent environments across development, staging, and production.
- Help deploy, maintain, and monitor container workloads running on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).

1. CI/CD & Automation

- Build, maintain, and improve Automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Write scripts (using Bash, Python, or Node.js) to automate routine administrative tasks, deployments, and infrastructure checks.
- Gain exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

1. Application Support & Environment Setup

- Support development teams running Node.js services, helping debug environment issues, manage runtime configurations, and streamline local dev setup.
- Assist with database maintenance tasks on AWS RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including database backups and monitoring connection pools.

Monitoring, Observability & Incident Support

- Set up and maintain dashboards and alert rules using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to track metrics, logs, and system health.
- Assist in investigating deployment failures, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure alerts.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience/certifications).
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of core AWS concepts and hands-on exposure to EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, and IAM.
- Containers & Kubernetes: Solid understanding of Docker containerization fundamentals and familiarity with Amazon EKS or Kubernetes basics.
- Linux & Scripting: Proficient in Linux/Unix command-line tools and scripting with Bash or Python.
- Programming & Runtimes: Basic working knowledge of Node.js and npm/yarn ecosystems.
- CI/CD Concepts: Understanding of Git workflows (version control) and automated deployment pipelines.
- Problem-Solving: Good analytical skills and a desire to learn recent DevOps tools and practices.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Basic experience or project work with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Monitoring Tools: Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Helm: Familiarity with Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is a plus.
