About the Role

Adobe is looking for an experienced Development Editor to create, review, edit, and maintain high-quality technical and product documentation. The role requires a strong technical writing background along with excellent editorial and content-review skills.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to understand complex product information and turn it into clear, accurate, consistent, and user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, edit, review, and maintain technical and product documentation.
- Develop and maintain content such as user guides, product documentation, release notes, knowledge base articles, implementation guides, SOPs, and technical guides.
- Perform detailed editorial and technical reviews of documentation created by technical writers and SMEs.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, clear, consistent, well-structured, and aligned with established editorial standards.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and SMEs to gather and validate technical information.
- Simplify complex technical concepts and product workflows for customers and end users.
- Maintain documentation standards, style guides, terminology, and editorial best practices.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and usability issues in existing documentation and recommend improvements.
- Support documentation throughout the complete lifecycle, including planning, creation, review, publishing, and maintenance.




- Contribute to information architecture and content organization.
- Mentor or provide editorial guidance to technical writers and other content contributors.
- Leverage modern documentation tools and AI-assisted content workflows to improve quality and efficiency.

Mandatory Skills
- 8–12 years of experience in Technical Writing / Technical Documentation
- Strong experience in Product / Software Documentation
- Hands-on experience with technical editing, developmental editing, and documentation review
- Experience creating/reviewing User Guides, Release Notes, Knowledge Base, SOPs, Implementation Guides, or similar technical content
- Strong experience collaborating with Engineering, Product Managers, QA, and SMEs
- Experience with documentation standards and style guides
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proofreading, editing, and content-quality skills
