Position :Design Manager / Head of Engineering Department

Working Hours :Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BE) – Mechanical / Design specialization Experience Required :18 to 20 years in mechanical design engineering, with extensive expertise in ASME Sec VIII Div. 1 & 2

- Design by Rules and Design by Analysis

Proficiency in Design-by-Rules methods (Div. 1) and Design-by-Analysis (Div. 2), including elastic and elastic-plastic analysis techniques.

Expertise in conducting fatigue analysis, buckling checks, and stress classification for critical pressure components.

- Material Selection and Welding Standards

Deep understanding of material specifications as per ASME Sec II and their application in Div. 1 and Div. 2 designs.

Knowledge of welding procedures and their qualification as per ASME Sec IX to ensure fabrication quality.

- Advanced Analysis Capabilities

Conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for complex geometries, including stress concentration areas, nozzle reinforcements, and cyclic loading conditions.

Application of thermal analysis and pressure fluctuation impacts using software like ANSYS or similar tools.

- Compliance with ASME Code and Client Specifications

Ensuring all designs meet ASME Sec VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2 compliance, including safety factors, design margins, and testing requirements.

Incorporating client-specific requirements and international standards (e.g., EN, PED) into the design process.

- Testing and Quality Assurance

Overseeing and validating Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods as per ASME Sec V, including radiographic, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant testing.





Supervising hydrostatic and pneumatic testing procedures to verify pressure vessel integrity.

- Documentation and Certification

Preparation of detailed design calculations, compliance reports, and drawings for certification by Authorized Inspectors (AIs).

Familiarity with creating and managing Manufacturer’s Data Reports (MDR) for ASME certification processes.

- ASME U Stamp and Audits

Leading the ASME U Stamp certification process, ensuring full compliance with ASME standards and managing audit preparations.

Experience with corrective actions, root cause analysis, and addressing non-conformance reports (NCRs) from ASME audits.

- Heat Exchanger Design

Specialization in designing heat exchangers (shell and tube, plate type) compliant with TEMA and ASME Sec VIII standards.

Integration of thermal performance design (HTRI) with mechanical design for optimal efficiency and safety.

- Leadership and Team Development

Mentoring and guiding a team of engineers to achieve technical excellence.

Establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for ASME-compliant design.

- Cost Optimization and Innovation

Identifying opportunities for cost reduction through material selection, design efficiency, and process optimization.

Encouraging innovation in design methodologies and the use of cutting-edge tools and techniques.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
