We are looking for a candidate who:

- Has 8-10 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection / Fire Fighting / MEP EPC projects.

- Has experience independently handling design and engineering for multiple projects.

- Has managed a team of Design Engineers/Draftsmen.

- Has strong knowledge of practical site execution in addition to design.

- Can independently interact with Clients, Consultants and PMCs.

- Understands the commercial impact of engineering decisions and BOQ variations.

- Can identify design problems before they become site problems.

- Has solid leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Is capable of working in a deadline-driven EPC environment Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Design & Engineering team for multiple Fire Protection EPC projects.

- Design and review Fire Hydrant, Sprinkler, Wet Riser, Fire Pumping, Fire Water Storage and Fire Alarm systems.

- Prepare/review hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, pipe sizing, fire-water demand and other engineering calculations.

- Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs and client requirements.

- Prepare/review shop drawings, coordination drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, pump-room layouts and installation details.

- Ensure compliance with NBC, IS, NFPA, local Fire Authority requirements and project specifications.

- Coordinate with Clients, PMCs, Consultants, Architects,



MEP Consultants and other agencies for technical approvals.

- Lead technical discussions and resolve consultant comments.

- Coordinate closely with Project Managers and Site Engineers for technical and execution-related issues.

- Provide timely responses to RFIs and site queries.

- Review BOQ quantities against approved drawings and identify quantity variations at an early stage.

- Support Procurement in technical evaluation of pumps, valves, sprinklers, pipes, fire-alarm equipment and other project materials.

- Review vendor technical submissions and material datasheets.

- Carry out Value Engineering without compromising system performance, safety or statutory compliance.

- Control drawing revisions and ensure only approved/current drawings are used at site.

- Minimize design-related site rework through proper checking and coordination.

- Ensure timely preparation of accurate As-Built Drawings and engineering handover documentation.

- Develop and maintain engineering standards, checklists, templates and drawing/document-control procedures.

- Lead, mentor and allocate work to Design Engineers, CAD Engineers and Draftsmen.

- Monitor project-wise drawing schedules, pending approvals and engineering deliverables.

- Support Estimation/Tendering teams for technically complex projects.
