Job Overview We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, availability, backup and recovery, security, troubleshooting, and capacity management.

Candidates with experience across Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or cloud database platforms are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and resource utilization.
- Perform database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
- Troubleshoot database performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexes, stored procedures, and database configurations.
- Implement database security, access controls, roles, and permissions.
- Conduct database health checks and performance tuning.
- Manage replication, clustering, high-availability, and failover environments.
- Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades.
- Monitor storage capacity and proactively address database growth.
- Maintain database documentation, procedures, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Participate in production deployments, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure databases meet organizational security, availability, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills





- Strong knowledge of database administration and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with one or more databases:

- Oracle

- MySQL

- PostgreSQL

- Microsoft SQL Server

- MongoDB
- Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Understanding of indexing, partitioning, replication, and high availability.
- Experience with database monitoring and administration tools.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix or Windows server environments.
- Understanding of database security and access management.

Preferred / Cloud Skills

- AWS RDS / Aurora
- Microsoft Azure SQL / Database Services
- Google Cloud SQL / Cloud Spanner
- Oracle Cloud Database
- Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Docker/Kubernetes database deployments
- Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar

Experience Levels 1–3 Years: Junior DBA / Database Support

3–6 Years: Database Administrator / Production DBA

6–10+ Years: Senior DBA / Lead Database Administrator

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant database certifications are an advantage.
