About The Role The Senior Data Security Specialist at Tech Data is a vital role responsible for implementing and managing data security solutions on a global scale. This position leads or serves as an experienced technical resource in diverse IT security projects aimed at enhancing data protection measures and operational procedures.

The role requires staying current with the latest advancements in data security technologies and proactively identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and methodologies to strengthen data defense mechanisms. The specialist will review existing data security measures across all geographical regions, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to address these weaknesses through investigation and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities include managing identity and access management, threat hunting, and conducting comprehensive data analysis for both on-premise and cloud environments. Additionally, the role involves documenting operational procedures, creating run books, and training support teams to ensure consistent and effective security practices.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field, with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in data security or a related domain.





Experience with AI services applied to data security is highly desirable.

Certifications in security and technology, such as CISSP, CISA, or equivalent, will be considered an advantage. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to convey complex technical information clearly. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and local languages is essential, along with the ability to create and deliver formal presentations.

The candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. A commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and organizational values is crucial. Additionally, the candidate should be adaptable to learning new systems rapidly, proficient in advanced computer applications, and capable of working effectively under stress and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Implement, enhance, and support data security technologies such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data across all platforms.
- Execute and continually refine core data security processes, including threat analysis, data monitoring, and controlling data access to prevent unauthorized activities.
- Develop and maintain processes for data categorization and access controls for both structured and unstructured data, leveraging learnings to improve automation and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with application security teams to develop joint processes for data orchestration, improvements, documentation, and training,



ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.
- Create, analyze, and report on data analytics and KPIs to monitor security operations, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with organizational standards.
