Required Experience : 4+ years of relevant experience on data quality and master data management, 5-7 years on any data related projects. Automotive/manufacturing experience is must.

- Must Have : “Data Governance”, “Data Quality”, “Data Profiling”, “Data Steward”, “Master Data”, MDM, “Master Data Management”, use of LLMs for productivity (prompt engineering, context engineering)
- Nice to have : DataOps, “Data Observability”, SQL, Python, Azure

Purpose of the role : Assist with end-to-end data quality and governance of Master data domains.

Role Description

· Work with different business and IT stakeholders to prioritize the data domains, and applications for data quality and master data management.

· Assist with gathering and documenting master data management solution requirements.

· Translate MDM requirements to functional specifications.

· Understand different data sources being used and the connectors required in the data quality tool.

· Continuously engage with the business and IT stakeholders in tracking the usage of data quality tool and monitor the progress of fixing the data quality issues.

· Provide guidance in implementing data quality by design for recent web and mobile applications.





· Critically review current mobile and web applications, find the user interface functions producing poor data quality, provide solution to fix the issues.

· Build data quality rules for critical data elements and validate them with relevant stakeholders.

· Train data stewards and other business, IT stakeholders on how to use the data quality tool.

· Create a standard process to build data quality rules and train stakeholders.

· Look for automation opportunities and coordinate with required stakeholders to automate different data governance processes (auditing, metrics gathering, etc.)

· Provide weekly status reports to management regarding the data quality scoring and improvement.

Functional competency

· Must have hands-on experience in data profiling, uncovering data quality issues, and building data quality scorecards.

· Must have strong master data governance conceptual understanding and must have participated in the design and development in 4 projects.

· Must have manufacturing or automotive experience.

· Hands-on experience implementing an MDM tool or implementing a custom MDM solution is highly desirable.

· Hands-on experience in DataOps and implementing Observability is a plus.

· Hands-on experience in Python and SQL.

· Hands-on experience in Data Engineering (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.

· Must be hands-on.

Behavioral competency

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently (with very minimal direction from supervisor).

Must be customer-facing with good stakeholder management
