Detailed

Responsibilities

- Design and develop Logical and Physical Data Models for Data Warehouse and Data Mart layers in Snowflake.
- Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents, ensuring accurate data mapping across Policy, Claims, and Financial domains.
- Define data entities, attributes, and relationships based on business requirements, source systems, and analytical needs.
- Validate transformation logic for downstream consumption layers supporting dbt pipelines and Power BI models.
- Perform in-depth data analysis and profiling, including interpretation of JSON payloads and complex domain structures.
- Ensure adherence to dimensional modeling, normalization, and denormalization best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to design optimized data structures supporting dbt pipelines and Snowflake performance requirements.

Technical – Primary Skills

- 12+ years of extensive hands-on experience in Data Modeling, preferably with a strong Insurance domain background.
- Strong experience working in Data Warehousing environments.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into Logical and Physical Data Models.




- Hands-on experience designing and implementing effective Snowflake data models optimized for analytical and operational reporting.
- Strong ability to perform source data analysis and profiling to derive relevant and effective data models.
- Experience developing SCD Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 dimensional models and data warehouse solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler for conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehousing concepts, including staging, curated, and data mart layers.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to validate transformations, data quality, and model outputs.
- Knowledge of handling JSON/XML structures, schema interpretation, and source payload analysis.
- Strong understanding of data integration, data validation, and data cleansing issues, with experience working with complex data structures.
- Experience working in Agile methodology.

- Workers Compensation (WC)
- Commercial Multi-Peril (CMP)
- Excess & Surplus (E&S;)
- Excess Casualty (XS Casualty)
