Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience to extract, process, clean, and manage critical business and customer datasets. In this role, you will perform data ripping (extracting structured data from web pages, PDFs, and unformatted source documents), leverage generative AI tools for data cleaning, and ensure high data integrity across systems.

- Hands-on technical capability with data tools, automation software, and modern scraping/extraction technologies.
- Strong awareness of current software industry trends, modern data processing workflows, and generative AI tools.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Data Ripping & Extraction: Pull, rip, and extract data from various web sources, digital PDFs, APIs, and unstructured files into clean, structured formats.
- Data Processing & Entry: Input and integrate customer, account, and operational data into target databases and management systems within specified timeframes.
- Data Verification & Sanitization: Review raw datasets for missing entries, duplicates, or formatting errors; correct inconsistencies to guarantee high data quality.




- AI-Assisted Workflows: Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to reformat, clean, transform, and standardize complex or unorganized text and datasets.
- Research & Data Enrichment: Investigate incomplete records by cross-referencing internal files or performing web searches to fill missing data points.
- Compliance & Security: Maintain strict adherence to organizational data privacy, confidentiality, and security policies.
- Schedule Flexibility: Willingness and availability to work on Saturdays based on project timelines and business needs.

Requirements:

- Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience as a Data Entry Engineer, Data Extraction Specialist, or Data Processing Associate.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Data Ripping Expertise: Hands-on experience with data ripping, web scraping, and data extraction techniques using browser extensions, automated scrapers, or software tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets (advanced formulas, data validation, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and database management tools.
- AI Tooling: Fundamental understanding of using AI models (e.g., ChatGPT) for data transformation, parsing, and text reformatting.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and thoroughness in verifying, spotting anomalies, and cleaning large datasets.
- Communication Skills: Solid command of written English, including grammar, spelling, and document formatting.
