Cyber Security Engineer

Department: Information Security/App Sec

Employment Type: Full time

Experience Level: Mid-Level (35 Years)

About the Role The Cyber Security Engineer will work closely with our software development and DevSecOps teams to ensure the security of our applications, infrastructure, and AI-driven systems. This position will play a key role in identifying potential security threats, implementing effective solutions, and leveraging Agentic AI to automate and enhance security operations.

You will be responsible for identifying and assessing vulnerabilities across our network applications, and AI pipelines. You will also work as a key member of the DevSecOps team to strengthen our DevOps pipeline from a security standpoint, and contribute to building and deploying autonomous AI agents for threat detection, incident response, and security automation.

Responsibilities

Core Security

- Perform security assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities across applications and infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, procedures, and architectures.
- Collaborate with software development teams to embed security into the SDLC from design through deployment.
- Develop and enhance security tooling and integrations within the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
- Participate in threat modeling, risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Assist in investigating security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and support remediation efforts.
- Contribute to security documentation including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, threat landscape, zero-day vulnerabilities, and emerging attack vectors.

Agentic AI in Security

- Help design and build AI-powered security agents that autonomously detect, triage, and respond to security threats.

- Develop agentic workflows for automated vulnerability scanning, log analysis, phishing detection, and incident response.
- Work with LLM-based agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom frameworks) to integrate AI into security operations.
- Build AI agents that can reason over security telemetry, SIEM data, and threat intelligence feeds to surface actionable insights.
- Understand and help mitigate security risks specific to AI/ML systems — prompt injection,

model poisoning, data exfiltration, and adversarial attacks.
- Support establishing guardrails, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls for autonomous security agents.
- Research and prototype novel applications of Agentic AI to reduce mean time to detect (MTTD)

and mean time to respond (MTTR).

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in application security, network security, or offensive security.
- Solid understanding of application security principles and secure SDLC practices.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Good working knowledge of:
- OWASP Top 10 (Web, Mobile, API, and Network)
- Common vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and exploitation techniques
- VAPT tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, OWASP ZAP, etc.
- Static analysis (SAST) and dynamic analysis (DAST)

tools and methodologies
- DevSecOps practices — embedding security into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk,

Trivy)

- Familiarity with cloud security fundamentals (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills with analytical thinking.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Agentic AI — Required
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with building AI agents for security or automation use cases.
- Working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI frameworks (LangChain,

LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent).
- Awareness of AI/ML security risks — adversarial attacks, prompt injection, model security, and data privacy in AI systems.
- Exposure to integrating AI agents with security tools, SIEM platforms, or SOAR systems.

Preferred

- Industry certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or AWS Security Specialty.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms or automated threat hunting.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK; framework.
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Blog posts, CTF participation, or open-source contributions in cybersecurity or AI security.
- Exposure to red teaming AI/LLM systems.
- Master's degree in a related field is a plus.

Why Join Us?

You won't just be defending systems — you'll be building the next generation of autonomous security agents that fundamentally change how we detect and respond to threats. If you're passionate about both cybersecurity and cutting-edge AI, this is the role where those worlds converge.Role & responsibilities
