Role :Cybersecurity Analyst Experience : 5-10Yrs Work Location : Remote Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst Job Summary The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's information security program by protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of networks, systems, applications, and data. The role will focus on security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, IT security compliance, risk assessment, security controls, and remediation.

The Cybersecurity

Analyst will work collaboratively with IT, application, infrastructure, compliance, and business teams to identify security risks, implement appropriate controls, support audits, and ensure alignment with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, an understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and the ability to independently manage routine security and compliance activities.

Cybersecurity

Operations & Monitoring Monitor information systems, networks, databases, applications, and web based environments for security threats and vulnerabilities. Identify and investigate suspicious activities, security events, and potential threats. Support day-to-day cybersecurity operations and security control activities.

Maintain and monitor security procedures designed to prevent unauthorized access and protect sensitive information. Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices.

Vulnerability Management

Review, analyze, and interpret vulnerability scan results. Assess vulnerabilities based on risk, business impact, and severity. Prioritize remediation activities and coordinate with infrastructure, application, and IT teams. Track remediation activities through closure and validate corrective actions. Support vulnerability assessments and periodic security reviews.

Security Incident Response

Assist with the identification, investigation, containment, and remediation of routine security incidents. Analyze security alerts and determine appropriate response actions. Document security incidents, investigation findings, remediation activities, and lessons learned.

Escalate complex or high-impact incidents to senior cybersecurity personnel or management. Support incident response processes and procedures. IT Security Compliance & Controls Maintain and monitor IT security and compliance controls.

Review existing controls against applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.



Identify compliance gaps and assist with remediation plans. Support internal and external IT security audits. Maintain evidence and documentation required for compliance assessments.

Assist with compliance requirements related to privacy, information security, and regulatory standards.

Security Risk Assessment

Assist with security risk assessments for systems, applications, infrastructure, vendors, and services. Identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Evaluate proposed technology solutions from an information security perspective. Support risk-based decision-making using established security frameworks and best practices. Communicate identified risks, impacts, and recommended remediation actions to stakeholders.

Security

Policies & Procedures Maintain and support information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines. Review security procedures periodically and recommend improvements. Help ensure security requirements are incorporated throughout the system and application lifecycle. Communicate security requirements and procedures to employees, IT teams, and relevant stakeholders.

Threat

Intelligence & Security Awareness Research and monitor new and emerging cybersecurity threats. Stay current with security advisories, vulnerabilities, attack trends, and industry developments. Assist in communicating security awareness requirements to employees and new hires. Support cybersecurity awareness and education initiatives.

Secondary Skillsets

Compliance & Regulatory Experience With Healthcare Information Security And Compliance Is Preferred. Understanding of privacy and regulatory requirements applicable to healthcare environments.

Experience supporting security audits, compliance assessments, and remediation activities.

Disaster

Recovery & Business Continuity Exposure to Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity, and IT resilience processes.

Requirements Ability to support security requirements associated with DR planning and testing.

Security

Tools & Technologies Experience with or exposure to commonly used cybersecurity technologies such as: Vulnerability scanning tools SIEM / security monitoring platforms Endpoint security / EDR solutions Identity and access management tools Network security technologies Security assessment tools GRC / compliance management platforms Cloud security technologies Technology & Systems General understanding of enterprise networks, operating systems, databases, applications, cloud environments, and web technologies. Ability to evaluate software, hardware, and technology services from an information security perspective. Familiarity with current enterprise technologies and security practices.

Communication & Stakeholder Management Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.



Ability to communicate technical security concepts to both technical and non technical audiences. Ability to coordinate security activities across multiple teams.

Experience presenting security findings, risks, remediation status, and recommendations to management. Ability to work effectively with external partners, vendors, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities Proactively monitor and evaluate security controls protecting enterprise systems, networks, databases, applications, and data. Investigate and respond to routine cybersecurity incidents. Analyze vulnerability assessment and scanning results and coordinate remediation activities.

Assist with security audits, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments. Perform gap analysis of existing security and IT compliance controls. Maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and audit evidence.

Recommend security improvements based on established cybersecurity frameworks and industry best practices. Assist with evaluating new software, hardware, applications, and technology services from a security perspective. Research emerging threats and communicate relevant risks to IT and management.

Support security awareness and training activities. Coordinate security-related activities across infrastructure, applications, compliance, and business teams. Track security issues, risks, remediation activities, and action items through closure.

Escalate issues that fall outside established procedures or require senior-level decision-making. Provide regular updates to management regarding security incidents, risks, vulnerabilities, compliance issues, and remediation status. Support less experienced team members and external partners when required.

Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related technology field. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field. Practical understanding of cybersecurity principles, controls, vulnerabilities, threats, and risk management.

Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident handling, compliance, or security assessments. Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and recommend appropriate security solutions. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to coordinate activities across multiple technical and business teams.
