Role Description The Credentialing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area. This role is responsible for managing provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes with medical staff offices, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate enrollment. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and verifying provider documentation, maintaining credentialing databases, tracking application status, and following up with external entities to resolve issues.

The Credentialing

Specialist will communicate frequently with internal teams and clients to provide status updates, address inquiries, and support smooth onboarding of providers.



The role also involves reviewing policies and payer requirements, supporting Medicare and other payer enrollments, and contributing to process improvements in credentialing workflows.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Credentialing and Medical Staff Credentialing, including provider enrollment and re-credentialing.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills for interacting with providers, clients, and payer representatives.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medicare processes and related payer requirements.
- Candidates should have attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple credentialing files and deadlines.
- Candidates should ideally have experience in healthcare administration, revenue cycle management, or medical billing and coding.
- Candidates should have proficiency with credentialing software or practice management systems and basic MS Office skills.
- Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team workplace and follow regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as healthcare administration, business, or life sciences) is preferred; prior experience in credentialing is an added advantage.
