Role Description The Crane Technician role is a full time hybrid position based in Mumbai, with on-board attendance of the cargo crane.

The Crane

Technician will inspect, maintain, and repair lifting and heavy equipment used in marine and industrial environments, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Daily tasks include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and conducting field service visits to client sites. The role also involves documenting maintenance activities, supporting technical investigations related to equipment performance,



coordinating with engineering and safety teams, and adhering to relevant industry standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

- Experience working with lifting equipment and cranes, including inspection, installation, and safe operating practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems on cranes and related heavy equipment.
- Background in field service operations, including on-site diagnostics, repairs, and customer support.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment, including understanding of load-handling, rigging, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance scheduling, and accurate maintenance record-keeping.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multicultural teams and interact professionally with clients.
- Willingness to travel for site visits, work in industrial/marine environments, and comply with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Prior experience in marine or port equipment maintenance is an advantage.
