About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Conversational AI Engineer who can design, build, optimise and maintain production-grade voice and conversational AI solutions.

The role requires strong hands-on capability across dialogue design, LLM integration, prompt engineering, speech technologies, multilingual experiences, guardrails, escalation logic, accuracy, latency and operating cost.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and optimise production-grade conversational AI and voice-bot solutions.
- Create and manage dialogue flows, conversational journeys and fallback logic.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into production conversational systems.
- Design, test and continuously improve prompts for accuracy, relevance and consistency.
- Work with speech recognition, text-to-speech and voice-processing technologies.
- Build multilingual conversational experiences, including Indian language use cases where required.
- Design guardrails, validations and escalation mechanisms for safe and controlled interactions.
- Improve intent recognition, response accuracy and conversation completion rates.
- Monitor and optimise latency, token consumption, model usage and overall operating cost.
- Integrate conversational systems with APIs, CRMs, databases, telephony platforms and enterprise applications.
- Design fallback, retry and human-escalation journeys.
- Analyse conversation logs, failure patterns and production behaviour to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct structured testing, benchmarking and regression validation before production release.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Operations and business teams.
- Support production deployment, monitoring, incident resolution and continuous optimisation.




- Maintain technical documentation for architecture, prompts, flows, integrations and configuration.

Required Experience

- 4–8 years of relevant technology or AI engineering experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with production conversational AI or voice systems .
- Strong practical experience with conversational AI platforms, LLMs or generative AI technologies.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering and conversation design.
- Experience integrating AI systems with APIs and enterprise applications.
- Experience with speech recognition and/or text-to-speech technologies.
- Understanding of accuracy, latency, scalability and production reliability.
- Experience designing fallback, guardrail and escalation logic.
- Robust debugging, problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently from requirement understanding through production deployment.

Preferred Capabilities

- Experience with multilingual conversational AI, particularly Indian languages.
- Experience with voice bots, contact-centre automation or telephony integrations.
- Understanding of model selection, token optimisation and AI operating-cost management.
- Exposure to vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or knowledge-grounded AI systems.
- Experience evaluating different LLMs and speech models for production use.
- Understanding of AI safety, hallucination control and response validation.
- Experience working with cloud-based AI services and production monitoring.
- Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
