CONVERSATIONAL AI ENGINEER – NOIDA / DELHI NCR

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role builds and tunes the core conversational layer: dialog design implementation, LLM orchestration, prompt and retrieval engineering, and speech recognition tuning tailored for Indian conditions. This engineer determines whether a bot works reliably on a real telecom-grade call with a code-mixing speaker—a materially different challenge from creating a demo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- DIALOG & LLM ORCHESTRATION
- Implement complete dialog flows, including every edge case and failure branch defined at G2.
- Own end-to-end LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, retrieval mechanisms (RAG), and safety guardrails.
- Implement escalation logic along with the confidence thresholds that govern handoffs.
- ASR & SPEECH TUNING
- Tune Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engines for Indian accents, Hinglish, code-mixing, and noisy telecom-grade audio.
- Work with the Eval Lead on failure analysis by class to continuously refine accuracy.
- PERFORMANCE & COST OPTIMIZATION
- Own latency optimization and minimize cost per interaction at the model layer.
- Ensure voicebots maintain real-time conversational response rates under heavy user load.

CANDIDATE PROFILE MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE

- 4–8 years total experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to production conversational systems serving real users at volume.




- Hands-on LLM application engineering—orchestration, prompt tuning, retrieval systems, and eval pipelines.
- Practical experience debugging ASR models and their failure modes, beyond basic API wrappers.
- Strong Python proficiency with the ability to reason about system latency and cost per call.
- Proven track record of debugging and fixing live accuracy problems under commercial pressure.

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Direct deployment experience with Indian languages and code-mixed speech models.
- Voicebot experience specifically (not just text-based chatbots).
- Telephony and IVR platform integration exposure (SIP, Twilio, Genesys, Avaya).
- Understanding of BFSI regulatory constraints on automated customer communications.

DELIBERATELY NOT LOOKING FOR

- Pure Data Scientists whose experience is limited to Jupyter Notebooks rather than shipped code.
- Developers whose entire LLM experience consists of making simple API calls with a prompt.
- Chat-only engineers without voice AI experience.
