Job Summary

The Consultant - Clinical Applications Training Capability Development is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the Clinical Applications Support Learning Program for healthcare application support professionals. The consultant will establish a structured learning framework that enables new hires and existing associates to build technical, clinical, operational, and professional competencies required to support Electronic Health Records (EHR), Clinical Ancillary Systems, Healthcare Interoperability platforms, and related healthcare technologies. The role combines instructional design, curriculum development, training delivery, learning governance, and capability development to create a scalable learning ecosystem. Working closely with Clinical SMEs, Operations Leaders, Solution Architects, and Learning Development teams, the consultant will develop learning paths, competency frameworks, hands-on labs, assessments, certification programs, and knowledge management assets that improve workforce readiness and accelerate time-to-productivity.

The consultant will also drive continuous improvement by evaluating training effectiveness, incorporating emerging healthcare technologies and operational changes into the curriculum, and recommending innovative learning methodologies including blended learning, e-learning, simulations, and experiential learning.

Major Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and continuously enhance the Clinical Applications Support Training Program, including curriculum, learning paths, competency frameworks, and certification programs.
- Develop engaging learning content,



including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, hands-on labs, simulations, assessments, and knowledge assets.
- Deliver training programs and facilitate workshops, boot camps, knowledge transition sessions, and practical labs for new hires and existing associates.
- Partner with Clinical SMEs, Operations, and Learning Development teams to identify capability needs and ensure curriculum aligns with business and operational objectives.
- Develop and maintain training documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and learning repositories to support ongoing capability development.
- Measure training effectiveness through learner assessments, feedback, and operational performance metrics, and implement continuous improvements.
- Manage training governance, curriculum updates, version control, and learning standards to ensure content remains current with healthcare technologies and organizational processes.
- Support onboarding, workforce readiness, and capability development initiatives that improve time-to-productivity and overall support excellence.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development across Clinical Applications Support teams.

Education Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Information Systems or Computer Science or Nursing or Life Sciences or related field
- Experience in healthcare IT operations
- 7+ years designing and developing enterprise learning programs

Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Licenses, Certifications, Training

- Certified Skilled in Learning Performance (CPLP/CPTD) - Preferred
