Role Description This is a full-time, remote Community Manager role.
The Community
Manager will nurture and grow the XLR91 builder community by welcoming recent members, understanding their needs, and connecting them with relevant experts, peers, and resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing online community spaces (such as Slack, Discord, or similar platforms), moderating discussions, and ensuring that conversations are helpful, respectful, and aligned with community guidelines. The role involves planning and coordinating virtual and in-person events, such as founder meetups, AMAs, workshops, and office hours, and then capturing insights to share with the broader community.
The Community
Manager will collaborate with the team to design programs for founders, promote AI implementation support, collect feedback, and refine community processes. Regular reporting on engagement metrics,
member satisfaction, and opportunities for improvement will also be key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong community-building and engagement skills, including experience managing online communities, moderating discussions, and facilitating connections between members.
- Proficiency in organizing and executing events (virtual and/or in-person), with the ability to coordinate logistics, speakers, agendas, and follow-up communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and respectfully across diverse audiences.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms commonly used by startups (e.g., Slack/Discord, Notion, Zoom, CRM or community platforms), and an interest in AI tools and their practical applications.
- Experience working with or within startup ecosystems, founder communities, accelerators, or builder networks in India is highly beneficial.
- Proactive, empathetic, and organized approach to work, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple initiatives, and operate independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to gather and interpret community feedback, track engagement metrics, and present insights that can guide program and community improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is welcome but not mandatory; relevant community, startup, or ecosystem experience will be strongly valued.
