Position: CNC Setter Cum Supervisor

Department: Production

Experience: 8–12 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Production Engineering

Job Responsibilities

- Set, operate, and supervise CNC machines as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, machine drawings, and process sheets.
- Perform CNC machine setting, tool setting, offsets, and program loading.
- Make minor program corrections and optimize machining parameters.
- Ensure proper tool selection, work holding, and machine setup.
- Monitor production quality, dimensions, and cycle times.
- Handle first-piece inspection and ensure components meet required specifications.
- Supervise CNC operators and allocate work according to production schedules.
- Monitor machine utilization and achieve daily production targets.
- Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and machining issues.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
- Maintain production records, tool records, and shift reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and 5S standards.
- Train and guide CNC operators and junior setters.
- Minimize rejection, rework, tool consumption, and machine downtime.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine setting and operation.




- Good knowledge of CNC programming and editing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling selection, and machining parameters.
- Positive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to supervise operators and manage production activities.
- Knowledge of quality inspection instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, etc.
- Experience in handling production targets and shift activities.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in CNC Turning / VMC / HMC machines will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering industry are preferred.
- Should be capable of independently handling CNC setting and supervising the production team.
