OpenShift Administrator (L1) — Noida | Onsite | 24x7 Rotational Shifts | 15 Positions

We are hiring OpenShift Administrators for a large on-premise private cloud estate at a client data centre in Noida. You will provide first-line support for a production Red Hat OpenShift container platform running live workloads, within an ITIL-aligned support model with defined SLAs.

Please read before applying

- This is an onsite role at a client location in Noida. It is not remote or hybrid.
- The role runs on 24x7 rotational shifts, including nights and weekends. Willingness to work rotational shifts is mandatory and will be confirmed at screening.
- You must be based in Delhi NCR or able to relocate.

What you'll do

- Monitor cluster, node and pod health; acknowledge and act on alerts within defined SLA
- Handle incidents and service requests through the ticketing system — logging, categorisation, first-level diagnosis, resolution and escalation
- Perform routine platform operations using the oc CLI and web console — pod restarts, deployment scaling, log retrieval, node status checks
- Troubleshoot common workload issues — pods in CrashLoopBackOff, ImagePullBackOff, Pending or Evicted states — and identify whether the cause sits with the application or the platform
- Manage projects and namespaces, apply resource quotas and limit ranges, and action basic RBAC requests under approved process
- Monitor persistent volume claims, storage capacity and certificate expiry; raise issues before they become incidents
- Support application teams with deployment queries, route configuration and access requests

- Execute documented runbooks; escalate to L2 with complete diagnostic detail when an issue falls outside L1 scope
- Maintain accurate shift handover notes and contribute to the knowledge base

What you'll need

- 2–3 years hands-on experience supporting OpenShift or Kubernetes in a production or pre-production environment
- Working knowledge of core Kubernetes and OpenShift objects — pods, deployments, deployment configs, services, routes, config maps, secrets, persistent volume claims
- Comfortable with the oc and kubectl command line; able to read pod and container logs and describe output to isolate a problem
- Understanding of container fundamentals — images, registries, container runtime behaviour
- Solid Linux administration fundamentals on RHEL or CentOS
- Basic networking — DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, ingress and routing concepts
- Experience with a ticketing tool such as ServiceNow, Remedy or Jira Service Management
- Basic shell scripting
- B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline

Nice to have

- Red Hat certification — RHCSA, or Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
- Exposure to the OpenShift monitoring stack — Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager
- Exposure to CI/CD tooling — Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI, ArgoCD
- Familiarity with Helm
- Prior experience in a 24x7 or shift-based support setting

Other details

- Full-time employment; resources are deployed onsite at the client location
- Notice period: 20–30 days preferred. Longer notice considered where a buyout is possible.

Interested candidates can apply here, or write to [email protected] with CV, current location, notice period, and current and expected CTC.
